Greetings:
Where does the time go? It seems like yesterday that I was writing last
week's update, and here we are again.
This has been a productive week in many ways. We were able to have a
meeting of the board for CANADA Monday evening, putting in order many
business items which were urgent for Canada. Mr. Laurie Nyhus was unable to
attend because he was on a trip, and Mr. Stuart Wachowicz was also out of
town on business, so we tabled which need more input. Mr. Charles Bryce is
now President of the Canadian board, and Regional Director of the Canadian
Work. He is excited with the positive movement in Canada, and we are
pleased as well.
The Living Church News is now on the INTERNET for those with Internet
access, and it has been printed and is ready for distribution through
Pastors, Elders, and Video Group distribution. I presume shipments will
begin today or tomorrow, and should be out to most areas by Sabbath after
next. I hope the bugs (or bears!) have been worked out of our shipping
system--but I'm sure not all have. So, if any of you do not receive
shipments in the next ten days, I suggest that you then notify your Pastor
for his attention.
My wife and I were in Los Angeles last Sabbath. Mr. Meredith had
originally planned to be there, but decided to take a few days off to go to
a cabin in the mountains for some much needed rest and recuperation. I
suggested that he go farther north to a cabin I have in Montana, but he was
dis-inclined to travel that far! Hopefully he can get away from time to
time for both rest and to visit you brethren in as many areas as possible.
Passover and the days of unleavened bread are right around the corner. Mr.
Meredith will be traveling to Washington, D.C. for Passover and the first
day, then to Nashville, TN for the weekly Sabbath. He plans to be in
Little Rock Arkansas for the last day of unleavened bread.
Mr. Richard Ames is going to Denver, Colorado for Passover and the first
day of unleavened bread, and to Orange County and Los Angeles Sabbath and
last day of unleavened bread.
Mr. Dibar Apartian will be at Headquarters for Passover--first day, and
Montreal for Sabbath and last day of unleavened bread.
Mr. Don Davis plans to be in Tucson for the Passover-first day, and Phoenix
for the Sabbath; he plans to be in Stockton, CA for the last day.
I plan to be in Reno for Passover--first day, and Orange County Sabbath,
and Los Angeles for the last day of unleavened bread.
I do not have all of the plans for the field Pastors, but I am sure each of
them will be quite busy serving you during this season. Please pray for
safe travel for all of our brethren during this time, as highway travel is
very dangerous. Satan hates God's people, and I am persuaded that he is
very angry now, knowing that he has a short time left.
Have a wonderful Sabbath. My wife and I will be in Helena, Montana this
Sabbath and a few days next week.
