Update from Carl McNair 1/29/99

Greetings everyone:

GENERAL: This has been a very encouraging week! Numerous things seem to have finally come together. We had a
dedication of the office Tuesday. Dr. Meredith gave a keynote speech and dedicatory prayer, followed by comments from Mr.
Richard Ames, Mr. Dibar Apartian, Mr. Mario Hernandez, Mr. Fred Dattolo, and myself.

TELEVISION: This weekend represents a new beginning for -- the airing of "Tomorrow's World" telecast on WGN featuring
Mr. RFAmes (the first two programs) followed by Dr. Meredith's two-part series on marriage.

PRINT MEDIA: The first issue of the "Living Church News" is at the printer -- the first issue to be published semi-monthly. This issue will be 24 pages. We think you will appreciate the new design. A Spanish translation of the "Living Church News" will be finished early next week. Dr. Meredith's booklet "Build a JOYOUS Marriage!" is in the final stage of editing. It should go to the printer during the week of February 8. The booklet will be advertised on the telecast February 14 and 21.

INTERNET: The LCG Web site address is http://www.LivingCOG.org. Our log indicates we are receiving 3,500 "hits" per
day, perhaps representing 400 different individuals. We are developing foreign language content (Spanish and French), but
currently only have English elements posted consisting of: A contact list of LCG congregations and ministers Audio Sermons by
LCG ministry A brief commentary. The commentary will be a weekly 2-5 minute commentary on current events and or world
affairs. The viewers of "Tomorrow's World" telecast page address is: http://www.TomorrowsWorld.org.

GENERAL: Mr. Eduardo Hernandez reported that there was no known injury or damage to the brethren in the recent
earthquake in Colombia. Also, he reported (as mentioned above) that the "Living Church News" will be ready for publication
next week. He expressed thanks and appreciation for the help and leadership of Dr. Meredith from himself and the brethren in
Colombia. Mr. Rod McNair reports from the Philippines: Mr. Casing (Minister in Davao) reports that the drought in Mindanao
is now being followed by FLOODING which is both dangerous to the people and damaging to the crops. There are no reports of physical injury to the brethren, but concern about damage to the plants and fields. Your prayers would be appreciated by the brethren there, and also, by Mr. Salibad who is still in the hospital in Baguio. The weekly Internet CHAT has been pre-empted by the annual Super Bowl football game -- can't compete against that event in the USA! Have a good Sabbath, week-end, and next week.
